No: A fibroadenoma does not need to be removed unless it is painful, growing or over 3 cm. There is a slight risk of implant rupture but that would be very unlikely to occur.

Hi! It is possible to remove a fibroadenoma even after receiving silicone implants, as the procedure is done by a breast surgeon performing the excisional biopsy. While the actual process of removal may affect your implants and cause some discomfort, your surgeon should be able to reposition the implant by surgically opening the incision and moving it before doing the biopsy, (see comment section)
