Endocrine abnormalities occur when hormones are over-produced, under-produced, or produced in an abnormal pattern, or mutant genes for hormones or their receptors cause defective signaling so it LOOKS physiologically like they're being over-produced or under-produced. Broad answer to a broad question! ;-)
