Immune system: Before birth and throughout childhood,thymus instrumental in the production/ maturation of T-lymphocytes(T cells),white blood cell that protects body from certain viruses and other infections.Once T cells have fully matured in the thymus, they migrate to the lymph nodes throughout the body,Thymus produces and secretes thymosin, hormone necessary to stimulate lymphocytes to become T cells
