What is eeg and ct?

Two ways of looking: EEG looks at brain function by recording the electrical activity produced by the brain cells. CT looks at the anatomy of the body by using x-rays. A computer is able to transform the x-ray results into a 3d picture, allowing us to see body parts without having to do surgery.

Diagnostic Test: EEG is for monitoring Brain wave activity , specially to capture seizures. Its pretty much like EKG only difference its for brain and not for heart. CT ; Uses radiation ( high impact x rays ) to get picture of your brain.

Electric vs xray: Electroencephalogram (EEG) measures and records the electrical activity of brain.Electrodes attached to head and hooked by wires to computer record brain's electrical activity as wavy lines. Certain conditions, such as seizures, can be seen by the changes in the normal pattern of the brain. CT is xray imaging of brain for anatomy and pathology. Images reconstructed in different planes.
