Adhesion: Synechia is an "adhesion", or a fibrous scar. Uterine synechiae or "amniotic sheets" or "amniotic folds". Sonographically demonstrable uterine synechia may have history of uterine instrumentation or infections. Most commonly, uterine synechiae an incidental finding on obstetric US and do not interfere with the development and growth of pregnancy rarely associated with any complications.
