See below: Hemi means half parkinsonism is attributed a constellation of symptoms that affect movement due to disorders at brainstem level that are important in the movement coordination. It can be aquired due to imbalance of dopaminergic neurons but much of times it is related to degenerative process. Atrophy means shrunken no growth.
