Serious issue: Dry mouth is a growing area with large potential issues. Significant decay in a short time is possible. Avoid sugar based lozenges and use ONLY sugar free (available in most stores diabetic aisle). Try biotene rinse, decrease caffeine intake if using a lot, increase water intake, ask MD about current meds and their effect on dry mouth (lots of interactions possible). Good oral hygiene a must.

I would add an idea from a dentist standpoint- to try a night ‘retainer gel’ used inside custom trays made by a dentist or orthodontist. The baking soda will neutralize acid and xylitol slows the growth of harmful bacteria.

Depends on cause. Narrow airway induced mouth breathing needs to be investigated. Certain medical conditions and/or medications can cause dry mouth. There are products and procedures available. Start with your Dentist and your Physician. Investigatory examinations, medical/pharmaceutical history, snoring history, possible sleep study, airway imaging, must be evaluated.
