Biotene: Try out biotene products. You can buy them at any drug store over the counter with the other dental products. This is only palliative and doesn't treat the cause. The source might be her salivary glands not working properly or could be a side effect from a medication she's taking. There are over 400 meds that can cause dry mouth. Hope that helps!

Xerostomia: Dry moth is often brought about by medications and/or hormonal changes. First have your mom see her Dentist for a thorough examination, to rule out pathology, and medication review. Then have her talk to her Dentist about the Biotene and the CloSys lines of OTC products that are available to make her more comfortable.
