A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible: Arachnoiditis is thought to potentially occur in patients who undergo multiple back surgeries. This is a condition felt to be due to traction placed on the spinal cord sac or its internal elements from the formation of scar tissue following surgery. Usually not a huge problem until the patient has had more than a couple of surgeries but even 1 could be all that's needed in some folks.
