Depends on phone: Cell/smart phones all have ratings with the sar ratings based on the electomagnetic radiation they emit in use. All must be rated <1.6w/kg and the ratings are readily available. I see some rated from.24-1.55 from the same company. Check with your retailer or phone site.

Driving: Cell phones and the new culture of texting and getting distract in the road, are potencial risk for dying or get severlly injured. As a consequense, the current recommendation is the use of the headset to avoid getting distracted and have a car accident beside they may prevent injuries not only accident but neck strain and headaches for bad neck positioning while talking by phone.

Is it true that radiation from cell phones is dangerous?

Good question: The answer is not certain. However, i know of a surgeon at a university who claims that he is operating more for acoustic neuroma (a tumor associated with the hearing mechanisms) that he no longer considers it rare. The trouble is that there are so many other factors. Personally i think that cell phones are overused and may be damaging to some.

May carry germs.: Turn off phone & remove from case. You can use ready-made wipes that are safe for phones or make up a solution of ½ cup distilled water & ½ cup isopropyl alcohol in spray bottle. Gently mist a non-abrasive cloth & wipe down front & back of phone. Let sit for 15”. REF: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/sanitize-your-mobile-phone-with-these-helpful-tips/

It may be: Related to the energy waves that impact the ear and brain. One surgeon reported an increase in acoustic neuroma (a rare tumor) but it did not prove it.
