Large Visible Veins: Usually large veins are a result of increased blood flow from exercise, heat or exertion.Most of the time this is not harmful. In the legs and calves, if on one side, not the other, it could indicate blockage or decreased flow. Good rule of thumb if pain AND swelling see a doctor or medical practitioner.

Skin is translucent: The skin is translucent (e.g. Shine a bright flashlight through your palm while in a dark room & eyes dark adapted); the closer any structure with a different color than the yellow & pigment colors of the skin are to the surface, they are easier to see. In good light, press & hold a spot on you palm firmly for several seconds. Watch closely the capillary blush right after you release the pressure.
