Hello. ive been getting sharp pains at the top of my head almost like a zap for about 1-3 seconds. they come every 5-10 minutes. what could this be?

Most of the time such sharp,shooting pains are emanating from superficial scalp nerves and not from the brain itself. These irritable nerves aren't anything serious, are more of a nuisance and symptoms usually resolve on their own within a day or so. Some refer to these fleeting pains as neuralgia. If symptoms persist or worsen, see your physician or a neurologist for evaluation & advice.
