Dry mouth treatment: The treatment depends on the cause, but dry mouth is often a side effect of medication. Dry mouth may improve with an adjusted dosage or a new prescription. For example replace Phenergan (promethazine) , Promethazine with Zofran. Sip water as much as you can, use OTC (xylitol) saliva substitutes, practice nose breathing. Rec.: see your PCP for more information. Important!
