Not smart to do: if a medication is adulterated, don't take it! probably no harm, but if the meds were moldy, it is not good to take them. their effectiveness may have been reduced.

No but: If the Progesterone pills are not in good shape, it is not a good idea to take them. It is unlikely they will cause any harm but they are also more likely not to be effective.
