If synthroid (thyroxine) isn't working, would armour work better because it isn't synthetic?

No: Synthroid (thyroxine) takes several weeks to take effect. You need to be patient and follow your doctors instructions. The dose will probably need to be adjusted over the next several months. Armour is an outdated form of treatment for hypothyroidism and is not as effective.
