Different: Armour is chopped up thyroid from animal and synthroid (thyroxine) is synthetic. Brand name synthroid (thyroxine) is probably the most consistently reliable of all thyroid supplement preparations.

Depends: Depends on your body. Some people do better on synthroid (thyroxine) and others do better on Armour. Everyone is different. The question is not which is the better medication. The question is which is better for you.
