Biochemistry: When estrogen is not methylated it can be more toxic. Decreased methylation can be a toxic effect of cadmium due to stress. Methyl folate, (folic acid) methyl cobalamine, magnesium and and methionine are helpful supplements together with a health plan including vit D and vit K2 to keep calcium in bones and teeth and out of soft tissue, adequate sleep, healthy food and movement through the day.

Methylation : A methylation defect is typically referring to a genetic SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) in your MTHFR 677 or MTHFR 1298 genes. There are other genes involved in the methylation pathway, but these are the basic ones. Methylation affects the expression of all genes. They are especially known for affecting the production of neurotransmitters and on infertility and birth defects.
