Does alcohol increase or decrease methylation? the reason i am asking is after i drink moderately, at night, i feel so much better in the a.m.

Possibly decrease: Ethyl alcohol, the kind people drink is not a methyl doner. And actually increase the risk of other deficiencies of methy doners such as folate (folic acid) or b12. Even by other means i would suspect it decreases healthy methylation, as even moderate use is associate with increase of certain cancers such as breast, liver and colon. Not sure why you feel better, but it may not be lasting.
