I often get horrible cramping and frequent bowel movements about an hour or so after i eat. what area is the food located at after this time?

Variable: Depending on what you eat, it could be in the stomach pouch (this is what doctors call stomach). The food then goes through the small intestine and on to the large intestine, usually 2-3 days, faster with food intolerance. If you have a food intolerance like a gluten enteropathy, food will move faster through the intestines. If you have a food intolerance, you may develop symptoms you describe.

Small intestine: Eating naturally stimulates the "gastrocolic" reflex, which causes your intestines to squeeze food along. The food you just ate is moving through the small intestine. Some people can be very sensitive to this. If you are eating foods that are high in fiber, try to drink lots of water to decrease the bloating. Stay away from carbonated drinks like soda or seltzer.
