A member asked:

My mom is 52 has copd. she is in sinus tachycardia at rest her pulse is jumping between 102 up to 118 just sitting. can you tell me reasons why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Other symptoms?: There are many causes for tachycardia. Since your mother has copd, if she is having an exacerbation or worsening of her symptoms that can cause it. Is she having any other associated symptoms? This will help to determine if this is something to worry or not. If she does have other associated symptoms, it is probably best to call her physician with this information so she can get the best help.
