A member asked:

Someone has told me that iron supplements alone aren't sufficient to raise ferritin levels...is this true? if so what others are needed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Iron sufficient if: Your stomach and intestine are working fine. You may wish to add a multivitamin to make sure you have enough vitamin c, B12 and folate (folic acid).
