A member asked:

Bulging neck disk, herniated lb disk, psoriatic arthritis, lordosis, traveling pain, & nerve pain horrible 24/7 in all i do. finished lifting weights?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes to heavy weights: Exercise is an essential part of the treatment of a disk problem. Using light weights and increased repetitions under the supervision of a therapist is ok. You should not be lifting heavy weights. You should also see a rheumatologist if you have psoriatic arthritis. This can be ( there are several forms) a progressive crippling disease which is treatable.
