Diabetes: If the test you had was a hemoglobin a1c test then any result greater than 6.5 is an indication of diabetes. Previously there was specific glucose challenge tests for diabetes but recently the hemoglobina1c has become widely accepted as it factors in the last 3 months of average blood glucose levels. You should consult your specific physician regarding your test result and treatment.
