Diet and medicine: It is called gouty arthritis. It is due to uric acid crystal deposition into the joint. Either due to over production of uric acid or under secretion of it. There are medicines available which helps the uric acid metabolism or excretion. Of course diet should be modified accordingly. Avoid excessive alcohol ingestion.
