My gums have become quite swollen due to strep throat and it seems like i have tiny canker sores on my gums. should i be worried? how can i treat it?

Strep throat: Strep does not cause open sores in the gums or back of the throat. You may either have an additional problem with viral infection or u could have two problems. Either way if the sores bother you see your doctor. You may benefit ether from an antiviral drug like Acyclovir or your doc may use a topical drug like silver nitrate to treat the sores.
