Nerve Pain: After the initial hernia repair there is always a risk of nerve injury. When someone has gone through two inguinal surgeries there is a very high likelihood of injury to the ilioinguinal and genitofemoral nerve. This can lead to numbness and tingling of the inner thigh and medial groin area. There is also a risk of abscess or fluid collection which can lead to the discoloration. See UR Surgeon
