Yes,positive 20+ yrs: Research suggests igg antibodies can persist at least 20 years after infection. While igm antibodies appear first, unlike other infections they often persist ; are a good indicator of persistent infection. One may have chronic lyme with or without persistence of igg antibodies. Chronic lyme is difficult to fully eradicate ; no current test proves that it is no longer present in your body!
