There is hope: Depression is a mood disorder. Often there is a change in sleep, eating, energy, a sense of helplessness or hopelessness. Etc. Adjusting to change, grief, etc can be triggers. The good news is that depression is quite treatable. Psychotherapy &/or medication are effective. The first step is to contact someone. There are helplines, crisis lines, counseling centers, pcp, employee assistance, etc.
