Can you tell me if a girl had an ovarian cyst and that ovary burst what does that mean?

Common finding: Many young women have ovarian cysts and many will experience a spontaneous rupture. The cyst ruptures not the ovary, and may release a small amount of blood into the abdomen triggering some discomfort. Natural ovulation is just the release of an egg through much the same process, the cyst doesn't release an egg.
