Could be many things: White spots on teeth are usually decalcifications which is a weakening of the enamel. White spots could also be dry areas of the teeth, or areas where the tooth didn't form as well as it should. The best thing to do is show them to a dentist and ask if anything should be done because sometimes this is the begining of a cavity.
