A member asked:

I've had white spots on teeth for aslong as i can remember, what is this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tooth spot: White spots on your permanent teeth can be of two causes-they can be hypocalcification (less than ideal tooth formation when it developed) due to childhood illnesses. Another reason could be a type of fluorosis usually associated with over fluoridation--such as drinking natural well water (ok/texas region). Ask your dentist about microabrasion or bleaching to fix this.
