? ADHD: If you did not have ADHD as a child and have not suffered a brain injury or infection, it is unlikely you have ADHD. You should consult your doctor to determine if there are other factors causing your symptoms such as hyperthyroidism, anxiety, depression etc. You may benefit from neuropsychological testing and a referral to a neurologist or psychiatrist. Adults do not need parental permission.
