A member asked:

Can you tell me what to do if i had an xray of my spine and the cobb angle is 45. is that something to be concerned with?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

That depends on: Several factors but most importantly bone density/quality & location of curve, if bone density is not good there is likelihood of curve progressing & if in the lumbar spine that risk is also present. Also, if lumbar in location, more risk of back pain due to altered mechanics of that region. You should be evaluated by a spine surgeon. Generally, curves less than 50 degrees don't progress.
