Turbinates: Everyone has turbinates. Some people have enlarged turbinates secondary to allergies. There are medical and surgical treatments available. It is doubtful you will die while eating just because you have enlarged turbinates.

No: While large or congested turbinates may lead to nasal obstruction, you cannot die from this. You can still breathe through your mouth while eating. There are procedures to improve the nasal airway or reduce turbinate size. See your local ENT
