saw a ent doc, he did a cam thru nose in office.. nothing was said about pain. is it normal to have pain even if he didn't remove anything?

Yes: A fiberoptic nasopharyngolaryngoscopic exam was done on you and it can be irritating and uncomfortable in the nose. It's an unpleasant side effect that normally goes away fairly quickly. I usually tell people to expect this when I do this exam.
