Brainfluid runnynose: This is a very important question as the spinal fluid leak can masquerade as a runny nose. We use the tem rhinorrhea for fluid leaking from the brain into the nose. There are old school tests such as measuring how much glucose is in the fluid but only an MRI or CT scan of the brain can show if there is a skull fracture which is a very common cause of the serious condition known as rhinorrhea.
