Heating Pad: Apply a heating pad to the area. Not for minutes--but for hours. Also, ask a druggist for a "drawing salve," which helps coalesce the boil. Don't squeeze it, as it may drive the abscess deeper into the tissues. Just allow it to "point" and rupture on its own. After it ruptures, use lots of soap and water.
