Yes: Depending on whether you have a history of tobacco use, or other less common exposures (Radon, asbestos) a noncalcified 13 mm nodule requires further investigation with either a follow up scan to assess for growth or a PET/CT scan. A prior cxr or CT scan that confirms the presence or absence of the nodule in the past also provides important information. Discuss with your doctor.
