UTO Problem: Most infections that are clustered together represent re-infections, rather than persistence of bacteria. While the jury is still out about the benefit of cranberry pills, many of my patients take them daily. Closely clustered infections need to be evaluated by a urologist to identify factors that are reducing your resistance to UTIs. Don't worry, evaluation is usually simple.
