A member asked:

My father had transitional cell carcinoma, high grade ( grade 2) muscle invasive..in 2010. radical cystoprostetectomy with orthotopic neobladder recon?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Proper procedure: When transitional ca of bladder invades the muscle then the standard use of intravesicle chemo and bcg can't be used. Radical cystectomy with neobladder is the standard reconstruction. One has to be careful that nodal involvement to the iliac nodes does not develop.
