Look and Feel: Firm bulging gums, excessive salivating, irritability, a desire to chew more are all signs of teething. Age of child helps. First teeth come in about 6 months of age give or take. When they cut through you will feel a small hard sharp bump. Usually on the bottom front first. Know that teething does not cause high fevers. Know too that you should take your child to the dentist when they are one.
