Diabetic risk factor: 1. Do your parents have type 2 diabetes? If both parents have type 2, then there is significant risk that you will also. 2. Weigh yourself - being overweight increases your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. 3. Go get a glucose meter. You can buy them at pharmacies. A normal glucose ( before a meal or in the morning) is 70-100. Borderline is 100-125. A fasting level of >126 is diabetes.
