Start exercise: You could try by purchasing them a gym membership, home gym equipment, or fitbit. Often a person needs to be motivated to start to exercise though so the quick solutions, don't work. Most people complain of lack of time, but its really motivation. For myself, I use an ipad on a treadmill and watch a tv show I like like Agents of Shield. Distraction so exercise is fun. Also a buddy can help.
