Glucose tabs: If you have low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) it shouldn't take much to get your blood sugar up. A quick way to do this is to take glucose tabs. If you are diabetic and on medications and you are having repeated episodes of hypoglycemia inform your doctor. If you develop severe hypoglycemia (symptoms of confusion, lethargy) call 911 to be taken to the ER.

Honest answer: Hi. I've had type 1 diabetes for 40 years, and there are only 2 things I don't like about being diabetic: 1) severe hypoglycemia, and 2) eating to treat/prevent hypoglycemia when I'm not hungry. If you're blood glucose is low, you simply have to eat something (or you'll be waking up on the floor looking up at paramedics). Try juice. Sometimes it goes down better when you're not hungry.
