Be objective: If you're thinking in ways that are upsetting to you it can help to be more objective. Are your stressful thoughts beyond debate and absolutely true? Probably not. So, it might help to revise your thoughts so that they are perfectly factual. For example, take all opinion out of your thoughts to find out what's left that everyone would agree with as factual. Then think of what to do next: goals.
