Cross training: For sprinting, you do not want to increase the size of your muscles, which will only slow you down. Do not use the muscle building machines in the gym at a heavy weight. Try cross training instead. Jogging, sprinting, jumping, etc. You want to encourage fast muscle contractions. You also need simple and complex carbohydrates in your diet to keep your muscles fueled during runs.
