A member asked:

Do you know if there are tramadol withdrawal symptoms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: tramadol works on the same receptors as opioids, and can cause a similar withdrawal, with diffuse muscle, joint and bone pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, increased sweating, and especially anxiety, insomnia, agitation and severe craving. It can be treated in the same way other opioid withdrawal can be treated, but is usually milder and will pass on its own in 3-5 days or so.
