High TSH: Hi. In almost all cases, a high TSH means you are hypothyroid. The most common cause is Hashimoto's (autoimmune lymphocytic thyroiditis). There are other less common cases, some self limited. But most cases need thyroid hormone replacement for life. You'll do fine. Good luck!
