Probably okay: You are in the early stage of recovery – only one month out. Suture material and/or mesh are used in your hernia repair. You should not be able to feel the mesh, but you may be noticing tissue reactions to the underlying suture material. This should go away over time as the sutures absorb. Usually takes 12 to 16 weeks. Be patient and follow your doctor's directions.
