It's : It's certainly possible that you developed a hernia as a result of your coughing spell. An unusual hernia, called a petit's hernia (see link below), can protrude through a triangular defect in your lower back (just above the top of your pelvis). If you haven't seen your doctor about this issue yet, i recommend that you do so as soon as possible.
